Beautiful OLD AUTHENTIC AKOSO (Powder glass with trailed decoration) African trade bead.
Akoso were made by the people of Kroboland (Ghana, West Africa).
Even the Venetians tried to copy this beads by producing reproductions.
The bead is in excellent condition (minor decoration loss).
The size of the bead is 22 mm X 14 mm.
Used in the African trade from late 1800's to early 1900's.
