Old African Djerma Niger handwoven blanket Tuareg Sahara tent hanging cloth

This is authentic old ( 1970s ) African DJERMA hand woven cotton cloth wall hanging / wedding blanket from Niger.

The cloth measures 106" ( 269 cm ) x 63 1/2" ( 161 cm ).

This type of cloth are used as wall hangings to decorate a tent or as wedding blankets.

The cloth is in very good condition with the exception of few stains and some wear due to usage and age. Please see photos.

Medium plied Djerma cloth hand woven using the traditional pile Technique.

The strips are attached / stitched loosely to each other to form a larger piece of cloth.
