A very nice Ashanti akunitan (cloth of the great ) made in the 1960s in Ghana.
The size of the cloth is 120"x 84'' ( 304 cm x 213 cm ).
Akunitan are traditional woolen fabric cloths with designs and proverbs of the Ashanti tribe.
The designs were made using HAND EMBROIDERY and looks spectacular !
A lion, Elephant, Crocodiles, Birds other animals and other African symbols.
The cloth is in very good condition with some very small size holes and wear due to age and usage.
