Immerse yourself in the rich tradition of Ghana with our New Tabular Brass Beads, masterfully crafted by the Ashanti artisans in West Africa. Utilizing the ancient and revered Lost Wax technique, each bead is a testament to the cultural heritage and artistic dedication of Ghana.

Your strand will be identical to the strand shown in the photograph (given normal variation since these beads are all completely handmade).

  • Length of Strand: Approximately 22.5 inches (57 cm) - measured from bead to bead
  • Bead Size: Approximately 18 x 18 x 10 mm each

Experience the uniqueness of 100% handmade beads, where each piece requires a meticulously crafted wax mold that is destroyed to reveal the bead, ensuring no two beads are ever exactly alike.

Technique of Lost Wax: The Lost Wax casting process used by the Ashanti people is a labor-intensive and detailed method that involves creating a wax model of the desired object. This model is encased in a strong mold, and then melted away to leave a cavity for molten brass. Each bead reflects a piece of history, maintaining traditional methods that have been passed down through generations.

History and Values: Brass beads in Ghana are not just ornaments; they are carriers of history, symbols of culture, and artifacts of rich Ghanaian heritage. Traditionally, these beads have played crucial roles in rites of passage, community gatherings, and as forms of personal adornment that signify status and achievement.
