Experience the unique charm of New Tabular African Brass Beads handcrafted by the skilled artisans of the Ashanti region in Ghana, West Africa. Employing the ancient "Lost Wax" technique, each bead tells a story of tradition and meticulous craftsmanship.

  • Length of strand: Approximately 23 inches (58.5 cm) from bead to bead
  • Bead size: Approximately 23 mm x 10 mm

YOUR STRAND WILL BE IDENTICAL TO THE STRAND SHOWN IN THE PHOTOGRAPH (GIVEN NORMAL VARIATION SINCE THESE BEADS ARE ALL COMPLETELY HANDMADE).

Craftsmanship Details

Each bead begins as a unique wax model, which is then encased in clay. The wax is melted away, leaving a detailed mold that is subsequently filled with molten brass. Once cooled, the mold is broken, revealing a bead that is both rare and irreplaceable.

The Lost Wax Technique

The Lost Wax casting is a time-honored method practiced by Ghanaian artisans to create intricate metal pieces. This demanding art form requires a high level of skill and patience, ensuring that each bead is a work of art.
