Discover the enchanting beauty of our NEW TABULAR African Brass Beads, meticulously crafted in Ghana using the traditional lost wax technique. Each bead in this strand is a testament to the rich cultural heritage and artisanship of the region.
Strand Length: Approximately 21 3/4 inches (55 cm) from bead to bead.
Bead Size: Each bead measures between 20 - 22 mm in length and 9 mm in width.
YOUR STRAND WILL BE IDENTICAL TO THE STRAND SHOWN IN THE PHOTOGRAPH (GIVEN NORMAL VARIATION SINCE THESE BEADS ARE ALL COMPLETELY HANDMADE).
The lost wax casting process begins with a detailed wax model, which is then encased in a clay mold. As the mold is heated, the wax melts away, leaving a perfect cavity for molten brass. Each bead is thus born from a unique mold that is destroyed to reveal the creation, ensuring that no two beads are exactly alike. This ancient technique showcases the deep historical and cultural significance of brass beads in Ghana, reflecting both the artistic and spiritual values of its people.
