Discover the beauty and craftsmanship of our African trade beads, handmade in Ghana's Krobo region. These stunning recycled glass beads, inspired by old "Dutch Annular" glass trade beads, are crafted from glass fragments, resulting in a unique, translucent appearance.

These beads are made by artisans in Kroboland using a meticulous process:
Collection and Preparation: Glass bottles and other items are cleaned and broken into small fragments.
Molding: The glass fragments are placed into clay molds, defining the beads' shape and size.
Firing: The molds are fired in a kiln, fusing the glass fragments together while preserving their original colors and translucency.
Finishing: The beads are polished and refined, resulting in smooth, vibrant pieces.
These Krobo recycled glass beads are not only visually captivating but also hold significant cultural value in Ghana, often used in ceremonies and as symbols of status and identity.
